But I will catch up. I’ve only a few days, but it will be done. Also, I feel like this one might honestly end at around 50,000 words, which will be nice. That way, I can use December actually for revisions rather than writing the next 50,000.
Story-wise, things are starting to pick up. My main character is starting to get comfortable, so, naturally, things are about to get rough. Her new home is about to get penetrated with a burst of violence. It’s not going to be very pretty, and the consequences are going to be very dramatic.

I smiled weakly. Pretty sure all I did was make him feel bad, so it was difficult to feel comfort or reassured myself, despite his best attempts.
