NaNoWriMo '13 - Day 2

I feel like today went really well! I was again ahead of the target word count, and it flowed really nicely! I also finally settled on writing in past tense. I made a small marker to indicate that, when I do revisions, I need to change the start to past tense as well.
Story-wise, my main character met the guy who will be her best friend, but she doesn’t know this yet. However, she needed to be just a little bit more bitter towards him in her thoughts. If I run low on word count, I will definitely be going back and writing more of that in. But she was more aware of her loneliness (she’s literally been alone for a year) than I realized prior to writing. That made for an interesting new side of things.
A new segment to this post is going to be the last sentence I wrote that day. Here’s the last one for today:
And for the first time in a year, I thought too hard on things, and wept.
Don’t forget to add me as a writing buddy! We’ll exchange ideas and encouragement! ^_^
How are your novels coming along?
