NaNoWriMo '13 - Day 10

image
It’s day 10 and I’m still on track! I’d like to get ahead some time, but really, as long as I’m on track, I’m happy. I’m not sure if my writing quality is currently any good, and of course this always makes me want to go back and both re-read and re-write. But I’ll save that for a time when I’m no longer writing it.
Concerning the story: I don’t think it will be complete by the end of my 50,000 words. I think it will be longer. I’ll still give it an abrupt end around 50,000, and just claim the first draft is done. Then I’ll just add more to the end of the story in December, which will hopefully lead to my intentional end to the story.
This length of my novel is not helped by the fact that Paige and Dan have completely decided to go on this whole romantic tangent. I ask them to stop and they say no. At least I’ll get some context and character information out through their dating. Also, I think this will ultimately lead to Paige’s next big move, which will, of course, further the story.
Here’s the last bit that I wrote:
It reminded me a little bit of my street. My home.
I really should give you guys paragraphs, but I’m usually not proud enough of my writing.
Anyway, be my writing buddy on NaNoWriMo’s site! I’ve actually been chatting with some of my buddies. It’s fun!
