I asked this question on Facebook itself, and received several different answers:
"ahh keep it simple. just note it."
"haiku it!"
"Blog then share it with you Facebook."
Finally, I saw an answer that I deemed brilliant:
"Write a note, but then blog about how you made that decision."I decided that this was the best choice for my particular situation.
I decided on a Note, because then it can be seen only by those who are my friends on Facebook. I want to keep my blog open to the public, just in case it somehow gets enough subscribers that I might be able to make money simply by writing thoughts. Consequently, I do not necessarily want some details of my life featured on a blog. This makes a note a more reasonable placement for some posts.
Now, I know, it's likely with some sneaky Facebook privacy setting that the world could still somehow see my post. But putting it on Facebook gives me the comfort that it can't be seen by others, like hiding under the blankets gives me the comfort that no dangers can harm me.
Having made the actual post a Note, I still had one problem: I kind of wanted to start a blog. But if I posted the morning's events as a note, what would I post on a blog? This post (that is now talking about itself), that's what. It gives me something to post without giving too much information about myself. I decided this was the perfect balance between Blog and Note. They are now at peace.
Now, if you and I are friends on facebook, please go check out my note. It's actually longer than this post. If you're not friends with my on facebook, don't feel jealous that you can't read my note. Just enjoy this post, that likes to talk about itself. :)
Not enough mention of Preston in here...
